America West Virtual Airlines was created to pay homage to America West, an airline that would eventually be merged into US Airways. At it's high point, AWA had approximately 140 aircraft that served over 100 destinations. Our virtual routes try to replicate actual flight numbers and timetables. What makes us special?

America West Virtual Airlines was started in Jan, 2017 with a small following. We started out with phpVMS but changed software a handful of times looking for the perfect back-end management. There have been many management packages offered since then from different authors, but we believe we finally found one that does everything we need. We chose vaBase due to the ease of setup, and the active role of the author. So we started over in June of 2018.

We've added aircraft and routes based off the original America West Airlines. We hope you will enjoy being part of a historic virtual airline.
